CAR BOOT SALE SEPTEMBER

September is almost upon us which means it will be the Car Boot Sale in Waterlooville. This Sunday, 2nd September. See poster for details. Where did the summer go??

Waterlooville in Bloom winner

The winner of the Waterlooville in Bloom was the Phone Doctor. Seen here being presented with the trophy, sponsored by J Edwards Funeral Directors, by the Mayor of Havant Councillor Peter Wade ably assisted by Rob the manager of the Denmead Queen.  Rob put a lot of hard work into encouraging businesses to participate. The Mayor visited all businesses participating and can be seen below at J Edwards and the Denmead Queen.

MONTHLY CINEMA 23/8/18

Don't forget it is the monthly cinema in Waterlooville  on THURSDAY 23 AUGUST Doors open at 7pm for 7.30 showing.  Paddington 2 is another heart warming story of Paddington and the Brown family.   Tell your friends and bring the community together!

Have just heard that Tony Spaghetti will be coming to the Waterlooville Summer fete on Sunday 19th in Jubilee Park. With Magic, Puppets and Balloons it is something not to be missed.  He will entertain the children and I suspect the adults will enjoy it as well! See you Sunday!!

The Flowers are appearing in Waterlooville to enter the Waterlooville in Bloom contest to be judged at the end of the month. Leading the way are the Phone Doctor and Co-op Funeral care with some gorgeous blooms. Watch for more flowers appearing.  Which one do you think should win?

The YBus The YBus is coming to the Waterlooville Summer Fete on Sunday 19 August The bus will have lots of games to play for all ages . Remember to pay it a visit

ARENA PROGRAMME - SUMMER FETE

The line up for the arena events has been confirmed. Am pleased to announce that SAMBA DRUMS are back. They will be leading FIT'N'FUNKY from Rowlands Avenue to the arena at 11am to open the fete. At 11.15am and 1.15pm the Samba Band will be holding a workshop for you to 'Have A Go'. Watch for more news on other acts.

O2 at Waterlooville Fete!

STOP PRESS: Just heard that O2 will be at the Waterlooville fete with Oneplus who are bringing a football game. Have a go and win a prize!! So make sure you look for them!! Big thank you to O2 for sponsoring our publicity. As I am sure you all know by now, the Events team are volunteers, local residents, trying to brighten Waterlooville. We have no money so we rely on sponsorship and local support both in kind and ££'s to put on the many events. Why not join us?? Help just by sharing!!

SUMMER FETE LATEST

WANT A FREE DAY OUT WITH THE FAMILY? It is possible to while away 4 hours at our fantastic Summer fete (Sunday 19th August) without spending a penny. Entrance is free so why not bring a picnic, sit down and watch our free entertainment in the Arena, look at the lovely classic cars and motorcycles, pet the animals from Mucky Bucket Farm , Learn circus skills with Top Banana Circus or Samba with Big Noise Community Samba Band , play laser tag with Peter Ashley Activity Centres , or enjoy the YBUS - All absolutely FREE. Of course if you have some money to spend we have all the usual attractions Funfair, bouncy castles, Bungee trampoline, Carriage rides even a dog show courtesy of Downlands Vet (only £2.50 a class with all proceeds going to Brentlodge wildlife hospital) and over 80 stalls. You can nibble on burgers/hotdogs , Hog Roast, jacket potatoes, tea/coffee and cakes, donuts and have an ice cream to cool you down or enjoy a tipple with The Mobar - mobile bar Hire

OUTCOME OF PARK WOOD

Another Car Boot Sale in Waterlooville this Sunday.  It is always the first Sunday in the month.  Have a browse and maybe treat yourself to lunch!  A relaxing day.  The advantage is it is on hard standing.  Enjoy!

COMMUNITY MEETING NOTES

Did you wonder what happened at the recent community/business meeting.  Here are the notes.  Big thank you to Heather who bravely managed to make some sense of all the lively discussions going on!! THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON THURSDAY 4 OCTOBER AT 7PM.  in the Baptist Church, London Road, Waterlooville (opposite the Woodpecker Pub) It had been hoped to have it on 11 September but venues were not available Community/Business Meeting at WACA, 18 th July 2018 . Present: CLLR Peter Wade, CLLR Tim Pike, Jackie Buckley (chair of WET), Heather Foster (secretary of WET) and more than 200 members of the local community Cllr Pike opened the meeting ·          Regeneration - a high priority and would like to hear your suggestions. The appearance of town centres is changing due to online shopping and we will see more cafes and other services. Please talk to your ward councillors or our officers at the Plaza about any bids for CiL funds or suggestions you may have. ·
