WE DID IT!!

We have just heard from Aviva that we are finalists in the £1000 category to get the funding for children's activities at the Summer fete next year. So, subject to the due diligence check we shall receive £1000!!! A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED US BY VOTING. Couldn't have done it without you!! This really was the Waterlooville Community pulling together.

LOST SHOPPING!

A shopping bag was left on, or near the stage, at the Christmas Event in Waterlooville last Saturday. It was a pink Superdrug bag with various items in it. If it is yours please contact us waterlooville.events@gmail.com saying what was in the bag and then we can arrange for it to be collected.

CHRISTMAS IN WATERLOOVILLE!

Another two Waterlooville businesses have contributed to the cost of the Xmas lights. Big thank you to Nat West Bank and Waterlooville Flower centre. Look out for the red sticker in the window of the businesses.  They are the ones who are supportive of everything the Events team are doing and they are trying to revive Waterlooville.  Let's support them!  Pop in and say THANK YOU.

SANTA'S GROTTO

Christmas is coming  Geese are geting fat Please put a penny in the old man's hat. Bring the children along to the grotto in the Waterlooville library.  Fabulous value.  Beautifully created by volunteers.  Meet Santa and walk through the winter wonderland.

Cinema 22/11/18

This Thursday, St Georges hall come and see the film.  See you there.
The Christmas Tree is back in all its glory. As many of you may have read, on Saturday at 8am we discovered the lights on the ground, fallen off or pulled off who knows. This meant we could not restore properly so when the switch on happened the tree looked like it was wearing a skirt! However, Jon Wright, Property maintenance from Bognor Regis to the rescue!! BIG THANK YOU. They had spent one and half days putting all the lights up, leaving everything looking beautiful and were dismayed to hear what had happened so they returned today and restored the tree, in their own time, free of charge! There are some very kind people in this world

LUCKY WINNERS

Here are the lucky winners collecting their hamper earlier today!!

HAMPER WINNER

The lucky winners of the Hamper on Saturday at the Christmas event in Waterlooville were Mr & Mrs White (hamper donated by Coop Funeral care & J Edwards Funeral Directors). CONGRATULATIONS

CHRISTMAS EVENT

Everyone seemed to enjoy the Xmas event on Saturday in Waterlooville Precinct. Slight problem with lights on Xmas tree which were on the ground when we arrived at 8am. Pulled off or slipped off?? We managed to put them back but only to head height (no cherry picker!) The tree did look like it was wearing a skirt! BUT they did light up and the star was bright and the battery lights in the trees twinkled! We hope the installer will be back to sort very soon. Meanwhile did you miss some of the entertainment. Not to worry here is a photo of JARH from Ready to Rock school and of the amazing Fit'n'Funky. Such Fun!! BUT big THANK YOU to all the volunteers who made the day happen. Without them there would have been NOTHING!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

The Events team are amazed at how many businesses have supported their efforts to provide Christmas in Waterlooville. Our thanks must go to Archibald and Edwards Estate agents for copying carol sheets and contributing; also Inhome Care in Horndean who sent a cheque. Also not to be forgotten are the Lions of Havant who sent a donation of £250. Leaders Estate agents, Edwards Funeral care, Co-op funeral care and the library also copied song sheets to ensure there will be no reason not to join in the carol singing around the Christmas tree tomorrow. In all 35 businesses have shown their support. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY OF WATERLOOVILLE
